There are over 2,000 species of butterflies in the UK. Unfortunately, more than 1,500 of them are in danger of extinction and are listed as either critically endangered or endangered. iRecord Butterflies is a free app developed by Butterfly Conservation and the UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology to help you record and submit sightings of the UK’s most threatened butterflies. This app is also used to help us understand the causes of decline and inform conservation action on the ground to help threatened species.
